Address: 53, Church Street, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1EE

About this church - its core beliefs:

The Salvation Army is a worldwide evangelical Christian church and human service agency.  Its message is based on the Bible; its motivation is the love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ.  Its mission is to proclaim his gospel, to persuade people of all ages to become his disciples and to engage in a programme of practical concern for the needs of humanity.  Its ministry is offered to all persons, regardless of race, creed, colour or gender.  We are a Christian Church with our heart to God and hand to man which inspires us to help all people.

The Salvation Army has completed major works, involving a complete refurbishment of the old Hall.  Our building has been transformed into a suite of rooms with two separate halls and a wonderfully equipped kitchen as well as new office space, toilets and most importantly there is now disabled access. We are especially looking forward to using our new enclosed garden  area which will give many opportunities for BBQ's during the long hot summers (well, we can hope!) and it will prove an ideal place for the 'Monday Toybox' children to have a safe outdoor play area.

From January 2009 we are employing a programme assistant, which will enable us to expand our work and specifically among the youth of Berwick.

Ministry:

Captain Carol Skene (Tel: 01289 306 828) can be contacted for Dedications, Weddings and Funerals and other enquiries.
