Churches / St. John’s Spittal
Address: Main Street, Spittal, Berwick-upon-Tweed, TD15 1RP

About this church - its core beliefs:
St John the Evangelist, parish church of Spittal in the Anglican Diocese of Newcastle was licensed for worship at the end of 1867 and consecrated in 1871. The church was renovated extensively in 2000 to provide a meeting room, kitchen and disabled toilet facilities. Central to our worship is Holy Communion, conducted according to the rite of Common Worship 2000 and following the Lectionary authorised for use in the Church of England. St John’s Parochial Church Council recently affirmed its role as a church seeking to serve the community and warmly welcoming all that seek to know Jesus. |
Ministry:
We are currently without a vicar and are waiting someone to accept the role for our parish. During this time the church is being looked after by the wardens. Please contact Moira Renton – Church Warden on Tel: 01289 330891.
