The story centres on a group of people rehearsing for their "Christmas Production" at a Church - any old church in Berwick in fact!  The story reveals 2 young people from the local area who are "out and about" one Friday evening and, finding themselves at a loose end, chance upon the open doors of the church where warmth and light encourage them to enter to escape the rigours of a cool Friday eve in Berwick!!

Wishing not to be seen in such a place they hide and see a rehearsal in progress and, more interestingly, Joe and his partner Mary, see a laptop situated on a lectern.  Being 16/17 yr olds they can't resist the urge to "check it out" and Joe touches the keypad and WHAM!  The laptop springs into life and what is on the laptop is transferred to the 12'x8'screen hovering over the stage!

The synopsis from this point takes them on a journey backwards in time, and also returns them over the course of the show into scenes which could be Berwick or Bethlehem, North Road tip or Calvary, and featuring characters with biblical connections and focusing on such events as Bethlehem census, How disciples were picked, how people wanted to "belong", story of devil tempting with a promise of riches ( devil is an estate agent at this point!), the scenario of the Good Samaritan, a wedding feast, Jesus meeting the woman at the well, conflict in temple with the traders, Jairus's daughter, the betrayal of Jesus, Crucifixion and a finale of hope where we return the laptop and the couple to the Church rehearsal.

Throughout the show the laptop keeps appearing/disappearing and being returned to them by an unknown character who is as equally mysterious in their arrival and departure.  The laptop moves the tempo of the show along as each scene unfolds.

Characters from the cast take many of the parts and soloists are from the UNISONG company.  Dancers as per past years and a multi media presentation enable the audience to take part throughout.  In the wedding feast which ends act 1 we hope to interact with audience, feed them and even get them on stage!

The 12 new songs are designed for choral, duet and solo work and represent the whole show in music.  There is also an instrumental dance piece called "No Room" and in the piece "World has gone mad" there is unaccompanied singing with a rapper.
